I was born and raised in Lansing, Michigan. In 1995, on the request of a family member, I started working on my family’s history.
Currently, I serve as vice-president for the Eaton County Genealogical Society. I am twice past president of the Livingston County Genealogical Society, founder and past president of the Stockbridge Area Genealogical / Historical Society, and past president of the Michigan Genealogical Council where I received the Award of Merit from the Federation of Genealogical Societies. I have also served as corresponding secretary, webmaster, and newsletter editor for the various organizations.
I am a member of the Genealogical Society of Washtenaw County and represent the Eaton County Genealogical Society as a delegate to the National Genealogical Society. I also serve as a volunteer at the Lansing Family History Center.
