  • Julia has a master's degree in history and education and is an Accredited Genealogist®, and Accredited Genealogist Lecturerâ„¢ with special expertise in the United States Gulf South region. Based in the state of Utah, she is a full-time research specialist at the FamilySearch Library in Salt Lake City. She is also the owner and managing member of Anderson Genealogical Research, LLC. As an adjunct faculty member, she teaches four online classes for Salt Lake Community College's genealogy certificate program. Julia speaks frequently at local, regional, and national genealogy conferences. Her specialty topics include research methodology, time management, record types, research in the southern United States, African American research, and tracing women.
