  • Andrea Bentschneider is a professional genealogist in Hamburg, Germany and founded "Beyond History" in 2004. Since then, she has become Germany’s leading expert genealogist and regularly researches for and appeared in national and international genealogy formats on TV (e.g. "Who Do You Think You Are?" (AUS, USA, UK, NL, NOR), "Finding Your Roots") and is a sought-after guest on German radio and TV programs. Together with her team, she offers contract family and probate research throughout Germany as well as the former Eastern territories, and even worldwide upon request. The research of ancestors and the search for living relatives, research in documents of the two world wars as well as emigration and Jewish family research and research for citizenship applications are part of her daily business.

Her company’s motto is: We give your ancestors a voice and tell their stories!

Andrea is a member of the Association of Professional Genealogists as well as the Association of German speaking professional genealogists, whose chair she has held since 2013. Furthermore, she regularly gives live talks and webinars in German and English at national and international conferences and for genealogical societies. Her highly successful live Q&A sessions at RootsTech in front of 500-800 persons have left attendees spellbound.
