  • Grant Din has been researching his family's history for over thirty years, and helping others research theirs for over fifteen years including while working on the staff of the Angel Island Immigration Station Foundation. He has done research for individuals, families, attorneys, storytellers, nonprofit and government organizations, and many others, including being a part of the research team for the film about the Chinese seamen who survived the wreck of the Titanic,  called The Six.

    Grant has spoken at the conference of the National Genealogical Society and to organizations such as the California Genealogical Society, New York Genealogical and Biographical Society, Legacy Family Tree Webinars, classes at the University of California, Berkeley and San Francisco State University, museums, and many local genealogical societies and libraries. He is a board member of the California Genealogical Society and an advisory board member of the Chinese Family History Group. Grant also moderates an informal Chinese American family researchers email group.
