  • Pamela Vittorio (MA, PLCGS) is a professional genealogist, historian, and Associate Teaching Professor at the New School in NYC. She received a certificate in Genealogical Studies from Boston U. and is an alumnus of ProGen.

    I am currently the VP of Programming for the Italian Genealogical Group (IGG) and IGG Conference Chair/Organizer, and the Director of Italian Studies for the International Institute of Genealogical Studies (IIGS).

    Memberships: APG, NE-APG, NY-APG, and APG Can.

    I volunteer on the collections committee at the Erie Canal Museum and other and mentor for NGS Genealogy Courses.

    I work with museums as a genealogical researcher (African American permanent exhibit) at the Tenement Museum in NYC.

    I have taken and taught courses for Salt Lake Institute of Genealogy (SLIG), GRIP, and AppGen, and I'm a frequent presenter for genealogical societies and conferences such as OGS, NYSFHC, NERGC, and NGS.
