Nancy is an award-winning author, researcher, lecturer, and teacher. She published a book on her paternal grandmother’s family in 1996, The Huhn, Pestorf, and Steck Families (Heart of America Genealogical Society Award of Excellence). In 2006 she published a book on her husband’s family, Lauer, Borgmeier, and Bauer Families (NGS Award for Excellence). She has published several articles in the Maryland Genealogical Society Bulletin and Family Tree Magazine.
With over 20 years experience as an IT professional Nancy is a Certified Microsoft Professional. She has developed training programs, written training manuals, and conducted training classes for an international community.
