Angel King is an award-winning speaker and family-history researcher from Logan County, Ohio, who helps family historians bring their discoveries to life and spark interest across generations. Through readable family-history books, heritage experiences, and practical uses of today’s tools, including AI, she offers approachable ways to help children, teens, and adult relatives connect with their family’s past.
Angel brings a warm storytelling style, humor, and practical instruction to her programs. Drawing on her own family books, multigenerational heritage trips, and research discoveries, she makes the process approachable through real examples and demonstrations. She also shows how AI can help develop research questions and explore new leads while checking findings against historical sources. Participants leave with ideas they can use and encouragement to move their own projects forward.
Angel is a member of the Daughters of the American Revolution through her patriot ancestor Patrick Cassidy, and belongs to several Ohio genealogical societies. She is also a member of the National Speakers Association of Ohio and finished its ProTrack speaker development program in May 2025. She has won multiple Toastmasters speech contests, up to the division level. Her article on heritage travel was published in the St. Clair County (Illinois) Genealogical Society Quarterly, Vol. 47, No. 4 (2024).
Her love of Ohio history also finds its way into her work as co-owner of Blue Jacket Dairy, where the artisan cheese names such as Hull’s Trace and Ludlow share connections to the area’s past.
For Angel, history is something to discover, enjoy, and weave into everyday life.
