After retiring from teaching in the public school system, she found herself interested in genealogy, and pursued her second career as a researcher, doing client work, offering educational services and speaking for various libraries, societies, and conferences for the past 20 years. She has spoken at various conferences such at RootsTech, The Genealogy Show in London, Genealogy Palooza, W.I.S.E. Colorado and more. She is the owner of Hunting Down History, runs the Genealogy Study Group now in its 14th year, is the Education Director for the International Society for British Genealogy and Family History, and has her Masters Degree in Education Administration. She belongs to many local, national and international genealogical societies and historical societies, writes articles for many quarterly publications, and is currently writing her first book.

I follow the guidelines of APG, BCG, NGS, and have taken many courses over the years.  I have my Masters in Education Administration.

I like speaking on research strategies for everyone - beginners to advanced levels.  Helping someone learn a new way to find what they want, see the lightbulb light up in their mind, and the rewarding moments are why I do what I do.  I also often find families of the living to return various items such as documents, uniforms, photos, and other personal artifacts, which has blessed so many over the years.

I currently have approximately 30 lectures on my list.  I often custom design presentations for organizations wishing to learn about sometimes different and difficult topics, not often found or lectured about.  I also speak on various "adventures" I have had over the years doing research, sharing the good, the bad and the ugly too.

I am as happy speaking in person as well as virtually.  The size of the audience doesn't matter, as neither does their experience with genealogy.  Everyone walks away by learning something.

I am often booked monthly by various organizations, libraries, societies, and educational institutions.  I have spoken several times for RootsTech, The Genealogy Show, Genealogy Palooza, and more.  I have my own genealogy group that has been together now for 14 years.
