“Find Your Ancestors”
- Appleton Public Library welcomes proposals for our 2025 genealogy series Find Your Ancestors. Since 2014, the Find Your Ancestors series has provided genealogy education to over 10,000 attendees.
- The series reaches an average of over 150 national and international attendees each month. Returning to a renovated library in 2025, we are excited to offer a hybrid program environment for both in-person and virtual presenters.
- We encourage proposals on a wide range of genealogy topics geared toward an audience of genealogists of all skill levels.
- The deadline for submission of proposals is September 1, 2024.

2025; Proposal due date: 1 Sep 2024; Legacy Family Tree Webinars 2025 Webinar Series
- Submissions are for classes that are 1) 60 minutes plus Q/A, or 2) 20-minutes-or-under “Webinar Shorts” or 3) 10- minutes-or-under TechZone videos. Please indicate which type in your proposal. All speakers are welcome to submit.
- Topics covering Artificial Intelligence, Curated Top 10s of Places, Genealogical methodologies, strategies, FAN Club and case studies, DNA, Historical records and events, Software and Technology, Places and Ethnicities, MyHeritage, Beginners, and Organization are especially encouraged, but all topics are welcome.
- Please check the library at www.FamilyTreeWebinars.com to see what topics have been done previously (fresh perspectives and new angles are welcome).
- Speakers receive remuneration of $200 per webinar (for 60 minute webinars) or $50-$100 for Webinar Shorts and TechZone videos, plus monthly viewership royalties.

2025; Proposal due date: 15 Sep 2024; The Southern California Genealogical Society (SCGS) 2025 Webinar Series
Deadline Extended!
- We are open to any topic related to genealogical/family history.
- The SCGS Webinar Series will feature approximately 18 to 20 presentations for the 2025 calendar year.
- Presentations will be scheduled on either the first Saturday of the month or the third Wednesday of the month.
- Presentations will be held live and are expected to run approximately 50 to 60 minutes in length, with a question-and-answer (Q&A) session of up to 30 minutes following the presentation.
- The webinar presentation and Q&A will be recorded and posted in SCGS’s Members Only section of the website for viewing.
- The deadline for submission of proposals is September 15, 2024.

2025; 17-19 September; Proposal due date: 15 Apr 2025; The 8th We Are Cousins Virtual Genealogy Conference
- Selected presentations will be used for our live virtual event during September 17-19, 2025 and the recordings will be archived on our website and available to current and future attendees based on the conference pass they select.
- On previous conferences we have had up to over 260 attendees ranging from beginner to expert.
- We are looking for beginner, intermediate, and advanced level presentations. Seasoned and new speakers are encouraged to submit.
- The areas of interest may include, but are not limited to, the following: Records & Repositories (land, probate, tax, court, and other records); Research in Mexico and Texas; Record Analysis and Skill Building; DNA for Genealogy; Methodology and problem-solving techniques; Writing, Storytelling, and Publishing; Basic to experienced genealogical topics (ex: how to or getting started); and History combined with Genealogy.
- Presentations need to be forty to forty-five minutes to allow 10 minutes for questions and answers after presentation.
- Deadline for submissions: April 15th, 2025.

2025, 19-20 September; Proposal due date: 9 Dec 2024; The New York Genealogical and Biographical Society 2025 New York State Family History Conference
“Echoes of New York”
- This year’s conference will be held September 19-20, 2025, both online and in-person in Kingston, NY.
- The NYG&B is specifically seeking lecture and webinar topics on New York records and repositories; methodology; New Netherland residents and settlers; migration and settlement; immigration and immigrant communities; New Yorkers of color and others whose stories have been historically underrepresented; DNA and genealogy; military service; and New York biographies.
- Examples in presentations should use connections to New York whenever possible.
- Length of in-person presentations should be 50 minutes, plus 10 minutes for questions and can include various formats. Panel discussions and similar formats will also be considered for in-person presentations.
- Speakers are encouraged to submit up to five proposals.
- Deadline for submissions: December 9, 2024.

2025; 24-25 October; Proposal due date: 30 Apr 2025; The North Carolina Genealogical Society 2025 Fall Conference
- This year’s conference will be held October 24-25, 2025, both online and in-person at the McKimmon Conference and Training Center in Raleigh, NC.
- All sessions will be livestreamed to online registrants, and video recordings will be available to all registrants for 60 days. Speakers may submit up to 6 proposals.
- Although we welcome any genealogy related topic, preference will be given to topics that involve North Carolina genealogical research and/or rely heavily upon North Carolina examples. Topics that are primarily historical in nature are also welcome if they can assist with genealogical research.
- Presentations will be allocated 60 minutes – lectures should be a minimum of 45 minutes, and time for Q&A should be no less than 5 minutes.
- We are also looking for 2-hour hands-on workshops on topics that can help genealogists in general. These do not need to be North Carolina focused. You may submit multiple workshop proposals, and they do not count against the six-lecture limit. Workshops are in-person only and will not be recorded or livestreamed.

2025, 29 Oct – 1 Nov; Proposal due date: 1 Dec 2024; The 18th New England Regional Genealogy Conference (NERGC)
“New Englanders Here, There, and Everywhere.”
- This year’s conference will be held October 29th through November 1st, 2025, at the DoubleTree Hotel, Manchester, NH.
- NERGC is looking for: 90-minute conference sessions that include 30 minutes of questions and answers; Mealtime presentations of 45 minutes; and Two-hour workshops.
- A short list of requested presentations include: Case studies with and without DNA; Pet DNA; Civil and Revolutionary War; AI and genealogy; Writing for family history and publication; Genetic genealogy and/or forensic genealogy; and Interesting uses of records including religious, civil, probate, military.
- Deadline for submissions: December 1, 2024.

2025, 7-8 November; Proposal due date: 11 Apr 2025; The Texas State Genealogical Society (TxSGS) 2025 Family History Conference
“Deep in the Heart: Discovering Family Roots”
- This virtual event includes TxSGS Live! on November 7-8, 2025, a Society Leadership Forum on November 6, plus an On-Demand program of pre-recorded sessions available for up to 90 days.
- If you feel passionate about your area of expertise and would like to teach and inspire other genealogists, this is the venue for you. We are looking for dynamic, enthusiastic presenters. The TxSGS conference averages over 250 attendees with a range of backgrounds and interests.
- The addition of the Society Leadership Forum in 2025 encourages speakers to consider offering programming ideas, marketing, communications and leadership concepts designated for the leaders of genealogical societies.
- Submissions offering intermediate and advanced level lectures that delve deep into records and include unique and experienced use of sources are encouraged for consideration, however, topics geared toward beginners are also welcome.
- The areas of interest may include, but are not limited to, the following: DNA Research and Technology; Ethnic Research topics (African American, Hispanic, German, Czech, and others); Methodology and Problem-Solving Techniques; Migration (coming to America or crossing the growing United States); Organizing and Preserving Your Research; Record Analysis and Skill Building; Records & Repositories (land, probate, tax, court, and other records); Research in Texas and surrounding states; Writing, Storytelling, and Publishing; Society Management (membership, marketing, leadership and other topics); and Genealogical basics for beginners (how to or getting started).
- Deadline for submissions: midnight CT, Friday, April 11, 2025.
