This class will give you some ideas on writing and researching your ancestors or relatives who have served in the military. including finding rich details from their service record such as medals and job descriptions. Also research information about uniforms, weaponry, and equipment for a full, colorful story, regardless of the branch of military or the country they served.

  • Mapping Your Family History Using maps and mapping tools to enrich your family history stories.

  • Do you have Politicians in Your Tree? How to find information and what information can be found about your ancestorís service if they served at the state or federal level as a politician.

  • What a Disaster! How to gather information about disasters (tornado, flood, etc.) and include that information if your ancestorís suffered thru a disaster.

    High speed internet if the Letís Start -- Mapping class is presented as a workshop.

    Originally from North Dakota, Iíve called Colorado home for almost 30 years. I began my interest in genealogy when I received the box of pictures after my parents died, in 2002. Iím passionate about genealogy and share ways to help write and map your family history on my blog I feel that it is the stories that are going to be important to get our children and grandchildren interested in their family history, so my classes are liberally filled with stories.
