  • Bio:

    Eileen Souza, PLCGS, is a professional genealogist and founder of Old Bones Genealogy. She has extensive experience researching family histories and in the Information Technology field. She is President of the Carroll County Genealogical Society and a member of the Association of Professional Genealogists, the National Genealogical Society, the Maryland Genealogical Society, the Genealogical Speakers Guild and other local business and genealogical societies.

    She is a 2011 graduate of the ProGen Study Group and a 2012 graduate of the National Institute of Genealogical Research (NIGR) in Washington, DC. She is a 2013 graduate of the National Institute of Genealogical Studies, University of Toronto, Toronto, Canada, having earned a Professional Learning Certificate in Genealogical Studies (PLCGS) with a specialty in American Records.

    Eileen has lectured locally on Getting Started with Your Genealogy, Dig Up Your Ancestors Online! and Finding Beaver Dam Levell. She is the author of “Research in Carroll County,” published in the August 2012 issue of the Maryland Genealogical Society Journal.
