    A former biology teacher and laboratory scientist, Nora started a full-time genealogy business in 2005 and specializes in Connecticut and Irish immigrant research and DNA technology for genealogists. She is a speaker on several topics including DNA as a genealogy tool, organizing research, beginning genealogy, and various types of records used in family history research. Nora is active in local societies (Connecticut Ancestry Society, journal editor; Connecticut Society of Genealogists, publication committee) and regional professional organizations (Connecticut Professional Genealogists Council, president; Association of Professional Genealogists--New England chapter, former program chair).
