    Bio:

    Active in genealogy since 1969, Laura Best is a popular writer, lecturer, editor, and genealogist. As the CEO of EchoRoad, Laura develops products to assistant families in linking together their heritage and memories. With college degrees in both Journalism and Geography, Laura’s writings and articles have been published in dozens of magazines and periodicals promoting varied cultures, associations, and lifestyles.
    Besides speaking at numerous adult conferences, Laura is a popular speaker for the youth. She works with Boy Scout’s obtaining their genealogy merit badge, and young women through her Belonging to Family program bringing an appreciation to youth for their heritage. Laura also works closely with retirement home residents and hospice patients to record their lives and experiences for their families through her Collecting my Thoughts series.
    Laura has written or ghost-written over 100 books, five of which further genealogy understanding and techniques. Her book, Genealogy for the First Time, has been translated in 5 languages and can be found in stores and libraries throughout the world.
